It is probably a mistake to generalise about goats in the military. On the one hand, there is this hot-off-the-press 'Goat demoted for acting like a goat' story. Not only did Lance Corporal William Windsor fail to march correctly but
"was trying to head-butt the waist and nether regions of the drummers."
On the other hand, Ben is in charge of grass management in Al Amarah camp in Southern Iraq.
This post, one might argue, only barely scratches the surface of the whole issue of goats in the military and one would be right.
