Zimbabwe JOC – names and faces

Now that Tzvangirai has pulled out of the run off, the following should be getting flowers and chocolates from this man  (who apparently believes that God officiated at his swearing in ceremony as executive president in 1987).

Welcome to the Joint Operations Command:

Emmerson Mnangagwa, lawyer, security spook, and senior party hack

And for getting to the end of this post, here is a bonus pic – one of many –  of Thabo 'n Bob

Mbeki-mugabe

A week after the first round of voting, Mbeki said, "I think the situation so far is manageable." Roughly a week later, he commented, “I wouldn’t describe that as a crisis. It’s a normal electoral process in Zimbabwe. We have to wait for ZEC to release (the results).” In 2002 – 2002! – he accused those governments within the Commonwealth pushing for tougher action on Zimbabwe as "white supremacists".

Why anyone might want him to resign from whatever positions of authority he currently holds I can't possibly imagine.
